I made these (based on others' jokes) and thought they deserved to be posted here, too...

That's between 2500-3000 steps in under 8 minutes or 6 steps per second for that full time. So say your stride is 3 feet. That's 9000 feet in under 8 minutes or around 1.7 miles. Holy crap!

It's a lot easier to move your feet a little ways per step and keep your body relatively still (i.e. Legend Road) than to move your feet in a 3 foot stride and propel your whole body at a pace of over 12 mph. (i.e. running 1.7 miles in 8 minutes).
So, in other words, it's a LOT easier (staminawise) to do Legend Road than to run 1.7 miles in 8 minutes. Probably by a factor of around 10. You're only lugging your legs around, rather than your whole body, and often you aren't even moving your legs too far (for sets of steps back and forth on two arrows, you barely have to move your legs at all, and even for around-the-pad steps you're only moving maybe 3 feet). _________________

All the songs on 'Nearly 130' have a BPM that's either 130 or close to it. _________________

True but I'm not including jumps, which use more energy. It could be compared to running on a treadmill though. If you were running in real life it would be like taking a bunch of really fast one foot strides.

I just wanted to know! | No, you get the exact difficulties reversed.
Legend Road:
MAX 300 [S]
MaxX Unlimited [S]
Sakura [H]
The legend of MAX [H]
PARANOiA Survivor MAX [H]
Naoki Neo-Standard:
Aoi Shoudou [H]
Hyper Eurobeat [H]
Brilliant 2U (Orchestra-Groove) [H]
Memories [H]
Burning The Floor (Momo Mix) [O] (same steps as [H])
So yes, you could get further in Legend Road and a higher score in Naoki Neo-Standard. However, I would ask that you please do NOT use this bug to improve your standing in Internet Ranking. _________________

That's about a 4:42 mile for 1.7 miles. For the better of high school track and cross country runners, it's a run for your money. College cross country, that's cake (assuming you're Division I or II)
But, yea, Rancid has a point, it's not complete body movement. |

All of this talk about mathematical calculations of DDR steps into running miles had me thinking about someone trying to bar rape a treadmill.. talk about cheating your way through an exercise!

well, then, sorry to butt into all of yours conversation, but is it safe to assume that there is, give or take, only one more unlock code? I mean, Max2 had about 30 unlocks, and the extreme codes have already unlocked some killer oni courses (road of slow, true road to oni and legend). I guess all that's left to unlock is paranoia max, max survivor, trip machine survivor, and legend of max for regular play...
Wow, extreme gave most of their songs from the get go...
And I'm already getting bored of those songs... ... Granted, my local arcade hasn't unlocked these previous unlocks yet, but many of those songs don't really entice me except for xenon and sakura.
Well, whatever happened to the supposed 200+ songs on the songlist? Eh, I guess it's a good mix for bringing A, V, and moba*moga... . I'll enjoy it while it lasts...
So corey, do you compete online? and how long have you been playing man? You seem pretty good from the vids I've seen... Insane, actually...
well... I guess that's all. _________________

What's left(IIRC):
Xenon

There are 237 songs(I think...) including all the unlocks, so they're there. |
