Rocky voice. "But that trick never works!"

You need a pre-double-swap PSX for that to work. All models that require the double swap check the protection before AND AFTER the boot program is loaded. The gameshark bypasses the first check, but not the second! Trust me on this.

Truth is, the double swap (and the triple swap needed to boot everything but 1st mix) isn't so bad. If you can get a spring, it's pretty simple. If someone doen't know, I will explain the duble swap, the anti-mod swap, and the club append swap if I am PMed. E1.gif Yes, you *can* play club appends on an unmodded PSX if you are clever.

JapanVideoGames has it.

They only have the pad/game bundle in, though. They are trustworthy, however.

On a follow up from a post earlier in the thread, I checked out theanimeuniverse.com: they offer PSX backups, anime tapes, and VCDs for cheap prices...under the PSX backups they offer DDR mixes.

I personally emailed the two email addresses I found associated with the website, to see if the website owner was still 'around' (many sites go idle after a while and lack attention, like lonesome threads in a forward-moving forum).

If anyone else would like to email the person as well, or even venture to purchase something, go for it, but let me know how it turns out:
[email protected]

I am still waiting on a response from the owner of the site. Hopefully he/she is still in business.

Ok, theanimeuniverse.com's owner emailed me back....seems that's its legit (based in atlanta, huntsville, and somewhere else), and has decent shipping.

I'm going to take a plunge here and see whether it's REALLY legit or not, and pick up some items...results to follow in a week or so.

WITH POULAR DEMAND
OK, people have been waiting for the mix that will be better than all of the other U.S. mixes. Well, US got there moneys worth. This game has the best graphics i've seen on a DDR game. Also over 65 songs is a great deal plus U.S exclusives making it worthwhle. Plus the Drop The Bomb Remix. Also, this is the first mix ever to have the ever so popular Oni Mode.

Pros:
Over 65 songs
U.S. Exclusives like Sandstorm, Overblast, I Like To Move It and Dark Black Forest.
ONI Mode
Edit Modes and Information Mode

Cons:
Some of these steps are bad(5.1.1 is a 7 damn should be a 5)
Takes too long to unlock Drop The Bomb Remix[img][/img][img][/img]

Yea Right Now I'm on my schools computer and just got on the forums again, well its very tur that it takes way too long to get Drop the Bomb but you can get it in i think the home something oni. well i havnt even got candy so i shouldnt be talking and also i heard Drop teh bomb you need to AA Max 300?

The most lasting feature on 5th mix for me is the edit library. I not saying 5th mix sucks, just the opposite. And Extra Mix has the updated edits for the revised maniacs!!! biggrin.gif

I'd be careful buying these, would really suck to buy a bootleg or a backup. They should be $45-$60 for the real thing.

amen to that.

i had a problem with extra mix. i can beat 7 and 8 footers and i thought attempting hard songs would only result in me failing. boy, was i wrong. for example, i barely passed drop out heavy (almost failed during the jumps) and i got a c. its impossible to get an a without almost FCing with 3 goods, and impossible to get a d without getting 40% misses. what's up with that?

One thing I didn't see mentioned about DDR 2 for DC....

"Strictly Business" is not on it because Sony Music wouldn't let the song be on a mix made for a competing system.

4th Mix/Solo/Konamix/Extra Mix all has extremely screwed up grading systems. I wonder why Konami scrapped the 3rd Mix system of grading, because IMO, it was flawless.

Do you have autosave on? If not, turn it on via the Options menu.
