It's the "accordion" modifier available only on AM-3P AM East Mix in "Trick" oni. The arrows keep speeding up and slowing down.

If I remember it correctly from watching the list, #28 has two, #29 has two, and #30 has three.

That makes 19 more unlocks to go. Here's everything that hasn't been unlocked yet:

NS From Pop'N'Music
NS Eurobeat
NS Home Version Course
NS Funky Groove
Oni Slow Road
Oni Legend Road
Oni True Demon Road
Song Xenon
Song Sakura
Song Heaven is a '57 Metallic Grey
Song Across the Nightmare
Song Last Message
Song Least 100 Seconds
Song Look to the Sky (True Color Mix)
Song Dynamite Rave (Down Bird Sota Mix)
Song Trip Machine Survivor
Song Paranoia Survivor
Song Paranoia Survivor Max
Song The Legend of Max
Song Dance Dance Revolution

That's 20 things to be unlocked...any miscounts?

Um, Trip Machine Survivor and Para Survivor are already playable, just not as your first / first two songs. I'm not sure whether Konami will bother wasting an unlock on making them playable first song. Think of the long version songs on 5th Mix (not that there were unlocks back then).

Yeah, but also remember True Trance Sunrise was only playable as last song on 6th, and that was an unlock...

On the other hand, Kakumei and MaxX Unlimited shared an unlock on Max2, letting people select them normally.

On MAX2, there were 30 unlock slots, but Kidou 2 was only unlocked when all 30 slots were unlocked, I believe. So True Kidou may be like Kidou 2.

I thought that was unlocked when you beat the first one or put in the code.

There were three ways I've heard that Kidou 2 "is unlocked" (other than the code).
a) Beat the first one.
b) Get all 30 unlocks.
c) Get all 30 unlocks, then beat the first one.

I, personally, have no idea which is true.

You just get all 30 unlocks. Some bootleg kits had a bug where you DIDN'T get it, even after you unlocked everything. So, the rumor started that you needed to beat Kidou 1 to get it. You don't... the only way on those kits was the unlock code. So, just get all 30 unlocks. If it doesn't work, put in the code. Someone on Aaron's message board actually worked hard enough to beat kidou 1 to unlock 2, and it didn't work. His sad story should be a lesson to us all. Just put in the code E15.gif

You're making fun of the "Who's hoping Sakura heavy is a 10" thread, aren't you? I am quite satisfied with the Across the Nightmare and The Least 100 Sec steps, because they follow the music. So there. ;b

You find it odd that people who work in the arcades (thus having vivid status for "bringing us bemani") are posting in a thread with information that pretty much has to be used by people who work in arcades? E10.gif

There are a fair number of vivid people on various regional boards. Just have to look in the right spots.

heh. I'm a park manager that has arcades with bemani games and runs tournaments. *looks at foot* Still trick-foot.

Actually, no I was not. That post was directly copied from Crakoon's post in the DDR General Forums. I just transferred it here to make you people aware.

But still... I was right. =P

Now since we know that unlock #4 unlock 3 new song, let speculate of what the rest of the unlocks are. Since it has a patten of: 3Oni/3Nonstop - 3 songs - 3Oni/3Nonstop songs - 3 songs, etc. My guesses will be:

Unlock #5 (release date: maybe around 3/12 -3/14 [soon as IR round 2 is over])

19.)Slow Road of Oni (Oni)
20.)The Legend Road (Oni)
21.)Eurobeat (Nonstop) note: Last Message
22.)Home Version (Nonstop) note: Look to the Sky, Dynamite Rave
23.)From Pop'n Music (Nonstop)
24.)Funky Groove (Nonstop)

Unlock #6 (release date: maybe 3/27)

25.)Xenon
26.)Sakura
27.)Last Message

Unlock #7 (release date: early part of April)

28.) Look to the Sky (True Color Mix),Dynamite Rave (Down Bird SOTA Mix)
29.)Trip Machine Survivor, PARANOiA Survivor, Dance Dance Revolution
30.)The Legend of MAX, PARANOiA Survivor MAX, True Demon Road (Oni)

Now I could be wrong, this is just just an opinionated statement, but I beileive it may released this way. E1.gif

Last I looked, there were two unlocks listed under 28, two under 29, and three under 30. I might be wrong, though.

Anynway, I think that 29 would be more likely to unlock all the normally playable songs (Trip Machine Survivor, PARANOiA Survivor, PARANOiA Survivor MAX), while 30 would unlock the EX Stage songs and True Demon Road.

If I'm remembering correctly and there are only two unlocks under unlocks 29, then PARANOiA Survivor MAX might remain difficult to play as before. Either that, or it'll be unlocked as part of unlock #30, and True Demon Road will be a separate, "hidden" unlock #31, ala Demon Road 2.
