I have 3 but I keep getting the same pics.. Ive got all the pics. |
the videos are point based as well... try for I think 38 or 48 points. get that over and over and you'll get the videos. and again the EX things works like I said.
As for the japanese deal... Pop'n Music is GEARED towards japanese players. Look at the graphics and the music they use, there's HARDLY anything english about it. They made a US version of the 1st pop'n music WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day... played it once... they changed Sholl-Kee's name to "Ken". I cried. _________________

what ever happened to this controller? It seems like it could have been better than the small one.

There was an online vote on KonamiStyle on which one people liked better, that one lost. You can see both controller pictures and the voting results on the Pop'n Music ArcadeStyle page on KonamiStyle
(I'm too lazy to get links ) |

I wonder where the person from YJ got the buttons, Babelfishing it gave me that it cost 12000 yen (about $100) to make the controller. And the Q&A part said the diameter was very close but the buttons were about 1cm higher then normal.
And they light up
Pretty, cool...I still want the ASC though |

I get my ASC at the end of next month. I can't wait... but even better than that, I brought Pop'n Music and IIDX with me to demo at my local arcade that wants to buy more bemani games and they said and I quote "Find us a Pop'n Music machine and we'll buy it." Probobly the best news I've heard from an arcade in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. So if all goes well, we'll have a Pop'n 9 in Columbus Ohio really soon. _________________

So I changed this thread to the "official" Pop'n Music thread, so we can chat about our favorite game freely. =D THAT, and the topic changed from me looking into it to a full blown topic!
DJP: Congratulations on your Pay Pal Advances. That is proof that Bemani Style has the most die hard fans on the net. Willing to support in any way. =D |

thanks on the congrats. I appreciate it. As a thanks to everyone I'll be putting up some rather cool Pop'n Media, more wallpapers and whatnot, and more game info. So whee. The new server is up and all will be transfered in the next couple of days.
did anyone say Pop'n Music Live 2 Rips? _________________

I tried playing Pop`n when I sucked (really sucked) at IIDX, and I was even worse at Pop`n. Decided to just bother with IIDX (cheaper since i could do it at home!). I got less sucky at IIDX (still suck though). Got bored waiting to play IIDX at the game center yesterday, so I tried some Pop`n 8. Big difference! I can pass everything on beginner now (of course I didn`t play all the songs, but I passed 100 sec. Kitchen Battle, hardest one I found). I`ll definitely be playing more Pop`n now. IMO, there are some crap songs, but a lot of really cool stuff (that you wouldn`t see in IIDX) too. I can also see how Pop`n can be more challenging than IIDX (not that I`d ever need that much challenge).. crazy modes where some notes fall faster than others, the screen stretches.. and I could swear I saw out of the corner of my eye on the Pop`n 9 machine a baby throwing rattles that became the notes.. something weird like that! I`ll probably stick to 8 for now (5 songs instead of 3 songs on 9 for the same price). I`m considering getting the home version, but not for a while (no ASC for me.. konami for $45 will do the trick!).
Um.. so my point is.. Pop`n Music is good! But I still prefer IIDX. _________________

Hey there, I recently purchased a Pop n' music controller for the Dreamcast, and it's quite fun... However, I'd like to play it on the PSX/PS2 too, does anyone know where I could find a DC to PSX converter? Or have any idea how I could build my own?

Just keep playing. That's really all you can do.
And soon, you'll begin to recognize patterns and common note clusters. Then it's all gravy!
Until you move up to Hyper. Which is just...wow. |

I'm sure there's a songlist for Pop'n Music 7 (PS2), anyone have it?
