Thanks! Is that Janet Planet / Spacey Stacey I see as your avatar? Well then go to www.kickedup.com under the archives and download my song "Where's Your Head at" and you will get a really nice laugh out of the background art and images that I made for that song. Go do it now!

I have much practice in my Pump debates from the pumpxtreme.net forums.

Hey folks. Nice to see Pump players on DDR FREAK! LOL!

I hate listening to all these DDR people, OH PIU SUCKS!!! THEY COPIED EVERYTHING FROM DDR! THE MUSIC IS ALL IN KOREAN!!! Bla Bla Bla!

Anyways. I wanted to know if anybody knows anything about the new Pump mix coming out. My arcade's manager said he's going to get the newest verson and he said it's called Pump it Up Extra +

I heard a few people say that PIUX+ should have all the songs from Revenge/Premere2 and new songs and re-mixes of older songs.

Anybody have more infromation on this? Hopefully we do get this mix, but if we end up getting a Premere2 I'll be happy. The only arcade by me that has a good premere2 is a Jillians, and the machine is great but the price is insane just because its Jillians.

Thanks!

How about something better than Extra+ and Premiere 2... Premiere 3! Well it won;t be announced until March, but it's in the works. Andamiro has released a sample of their next classical composer remix called Chaos B. It's 'Flight of the Bumble Bee' which is instantly reconizable. I don;'t have a link to the sample, but I might find it again.

Extra+ is basically Premiere 2 + EXTRA but without Half Double and Division modes. So there are no new songs, but a very nice flashy interface and graphics. PIUX+ has been out for about 3 months.

I'll let you know if I run into any more Premiere 3 / Pump 3 info (Which technically is the 10th mix of Pump it Up, not the 3rd)

As for prices, I pay $1.35 per game at Dave and Busters, and that's WITH my Gold Player discount! It ranges from $1.50 - $2.20 for non-gold card holders!!!!!!!!!!!!

Booo. All they did was change the interface? And they took out two modes? Doesn't sound like much of an upgrade to me to tell you the truth. I wanted to learn how to play Half Doubles. Sounds like DDR4th+ with DDR Max's graphics.

Well even if there are no new songs and it is just Premere2 with a new look, I will still be happy. I can't wait to pay a DOLLAR for a game of Pump!

Yeah, as you get info on Premiere 3, definitely let me know (Flight of the Bumble Bee? GREAT!). Oh, and I downloaded that Stepmania file you mentioned, and you were right, I got a kick out of it. Used some of my favorite GPKs actually, Double Heather, Dee Faced, and of course, Rear View Myra. haha. Its amazing that more GPK fans dont randomly pop up.

Well... that's only if you have really played Extra and Premiere 2 often. There are lots of great new songs over the previous versions, but if you have played them frequently, then no there are no new songs disgust.gif
But did I mention that they not only changed the interface, they did AN INCREDIBLY AWESOME JOB!!! Everything flows together, and the 'theme' is motion picture / film so it has a little hollywood look to it. I have pictures if you want to see what it looks like. PM me.

Hey Sexy C, I've been looking for GPK fans for a long time. I am definitely a product of the 80's. In fact, I recognized Flight of the Bumble Bee solely because it was in the Road Runner ARCADE game from like 1986 or so...

My god, i thought i was the only human left who remebers that.I have to say though, when i first played PUI, it was on a perfect and that was a bad interface.I spent like 10 bucks trying to find one song. I really like the newer interface that they use now

I dunno, I played Premiere 2 at the ATEI arcade tradeshow here in London and I didn't like it very much when compared to Premiere. Some of my favorite songs weren't in there (Take on Me, Hatred, Summer of Love and others) and most of the new songs didn't really do a lot for me. Also the Double patterns kinda sucked.

What's Half Double Mode E19.gif

On a different note, I kicked Turkey March's ass on Crazy last week, I own that sucker E4.gif .Heh, sorry to sound like a twat, but I had to say it riiight.gif

You twat! E4.gif I just finished Mr. Larpus Hard with a C, so now I need to work on Turkey March Crazy!

Half Double used the center 6 steps on the pad. So you have the four arrows in the middle (square shape) plus the 2 center steps. It gets hairy at times cuz those are the steps that usually confuse people in Double mode when it gets fast.

The change from Premiere to Premiere 2 leaves about 10 songs removed, whereas the change from PREX to Premiere 2 leaves about 30 songs removed! Many PREX players were sorely missing their favorite songs. As far as I know, both Hatred AND Summer of Love are still in the game. Try looking again. For some great P2 music (not necessarily steps) play Perfect! by Diva, Let's Boogie by Turtle, and Vook by Banya.

Hey G.O.A.T,
The interface for Perfect Collection sucks major buttocks. Those diagonal bars with Korean text are whorrible!! And you can't see what level a song is until you step on the song... goog.gif

Hey folks, it's nice to see Pump It Up with it's own thread on the boards. Here in Virginia we got a Premiere 2 machine last Spring, and I love it like a son. It's got a killer selection of songs, and the play mode variety and user interface is much improved. I wish Andamiro would just take the best elements of Extra (holds, XX Double, rush mode, the ability to switch from single to double on the same credit) and those of Premiere 2 (Half Double, Division mode) and stick them in Premiere 3. With that, and some kickin' tunes, they could have the ultimate mix that could finally show up DDR. Don't get me wrong, I like DDR alot, but I'm the type of guy who always roots for the underdog.

Oh, and Megido, I've seen you post on pumpxtreme and have played some of your edits, an I gotta say, keep up the good work. We need more good KSF's, and I'm too lazy to make any myself. And PSIV rocks.

Thanks! Yeah, PSIV was the poo... but I still have an undying love for PSI... the classic original.

As for my sim files, I've got punk girls with guitars as my next song. Hopefully KU.com will open the submissions form again.

I think Pump 3 should be announced REEEEEEEAL soon.

Turkey March isn't that bad on crazy. I use to think it was impossible till i saw a friend of mine play it. I started playing more crazy songs not to long ago, they really are not that hard. Now with that bieng said; Will o the Wisp, all wild style, will butcher you and your children with no mercy. Just when i thought i was getting better, they throw in division mode. Summer of love is in there, it was one of the first crazy songs i took down. Next up is Winter, then Mr. Larpus, and maybe She like Pizza. On a different note, i have 4 AAA in DDR(all light frown.gif ) but close to 30 all perfects in PUI, with some in hard mode(did i get up and Boggie, why yes i did)

Whoo, good luck with Larpus and Winter on Crazy, although Pizza is not half bad. Larpus is tough enough on hard mode. The hardest song I can do now is Beethoven Virus Crazy, but that's nothing compared to the other two. I primarily play Double and Half Double, which I find alot more fun and alot less painful than Crazy mode. Too bad the arcade I normally go to shut down and there's not another PIU machine around here within an hour and a half's drive. I guess it's back to DDR 3rd mix, or Para Para if I feel like looking stupid.

Also. has anyone gone to www.channelbeat.com recently? They have some wierd arcade game that is DDR adn PIU cobined!! It called Techno Motion and has that GUy from teh Step Mania icon... >_>;

I've actually seen a Technomotion machine in New Jersey about a year an a half ago, although at the time I wasn't into dancing games, so I didn't get a chance to play. Apparantly it has a DDR-esque mode using the familiar four panel setup, and a Pump-type mode with the five panels, and then a full blown 9-panel mode, which sounds really cool. From what I hear though, it's not all that great. The pad itself is supposdly inferior to both Pump and DDR. Still, the idea of a Pump/DDR hybrid is intriguing, and I'd definately give it a chance if I had one near me. 9-panel Starian would seriously kick buttocks.

Oh, and my friends and I were thinking of building our own metal pump pad, but we never got past the planning stages. Now we've moved on to a greater goal: buying our own machine!

Trust me, i am very familier with WOTW, took me almost 3 weeks just to pass that on hard mode. It's not terrible on crazy, but on all wild style....
it's slightly less hard than giving birth to a dinosaur while climbing a mountain underwater and performing The four seasons with a turtle with a rat up it's buttocks as your piano.
