Hey, I saw the EMS USB2 Adapter at lik-sang.com, as well as levelsix.com. According to my comparison skillz, its safe to say that they're the same thing (minus the alleged "drivers" that you get from levelsix, which can just be found at the official EMS site anyway). Has anyone ever ordered from lik-sang, though? How fast is their shipping?

Lik-Sang's shipping was actually really really slow for me... it took nearly three weeks for my order to arrive. disgust.gif But I ordered it right after the Lik-Sang page came back up, so maybe they were backlogged with orders from before the site went down from the lawsuit.

WARNING about kikijoy converters:
Although the jaunta's faq of converters say that the kiki joy convreter works with ddrforpc.... it didnt work for me. I even bought it after ddrforpc konami game came out and bought it where they stocked it right next to the game, implying that u can use it with the game.

It can map the buttons perfectly and play a little bit. But u aren't able to do jump presses(ie left and right arrows simultanousely) or have one foot on an arrow then press another arrow. It just wont register.
It may be becasue i use XP, but i doubt it.

"*works with dance pad*"--product sticker
my buttocks it does~!

I have a kikyjoy to. You can can't do jump, but you can press an arrow while your standing on another. The Kikyjoy sends alternating signals, so it looks like your pressing the one your standing on really fast howeer, o you can't do freezes....

Hey guys, I am ordering the BOOM adapter from Lik-Sang.com soon enough and I want to ask a few questions.

I am running on Windows ME and use StepMania 3.0, will this adapter work with my setup?

Also, how long did it take to deliver the product from Lik-Sang? I want to get the adapter preferably before X-Mas, but that will most likely not happen, so I now want it before 2003.

I dont really get what he is trying to say, messing with the anolog? does this adapter come with software? do you have to use joy2key? What did you do, did you just buy the adapter hook the gamestop controller into it then what? I dont see where he gives any instuctions on getting the gamestop controller to work.

*Pops in again* riiight.gif

No problem Junta, it helped me make my decision on what adapter to buy.

His site: http://junta.cromas.net/
Scroll down and click the link Working PS-to-PC Adapters for DDR and haha, dont forget to check out his metal ddr pad section

Update: I've been using the EMS USB2 which i got at http://www.levelsix.com/products/pc/EMSUSB2.shtml for three months now, and it's still good and responsive (as well as my ddr soft pads i got off of ebay laugh.gif ). The adapter is like two adapters in one. You can plug in two ddr dance pads in the adapter which connects to a usb port. When i ordered it it took 5 days for it to be delievered, but of course, delivery depends on where you live. I live in california and they're like in North Carolina i think. i found the service to be adequate.

In case you're wondering, i have a windows 98 first edition, 4 year old 600 ooooooold megahertz processor, 384 RAM, and am using stepmania final version, but the version before that worked as well. I didn't use joy2key, i just went to the options menu in stepmania and turned on the option Ignore Joy Axes in the Input Options menu. All arrows and combination of buttons work and work in sync. It's all good. E13.gif E7.gif

HappyNoodleBoy -

I just connected the adapter to my Gamestop controller and into the printer port. They give you a link to download directpadpro, I don't remember the link. I just followed the instructions by Seph and it worked so that I can play DWI with my pad.
