In responce to the starting line video, if you go to launch.yahoo.com and search for "best of me" it should come up. But i'm warning you if you are one of those saps that take the game 100% seriously, save your self the discontent and dont watch it. I thought the video was funny, however the song was 4 minutes and both the song and video got repetitive and boring.
Video overview: It stasts off with the screen called "dance dance your butt off" they never show the ddr logo, but they do show the screen and alot of the pads, you'll know its ddr. A rather large dude wearing workout type clothes comes up to the machine and yells at the girls already on it to get off. The guy goes through songs, which just show videos, and stops at the starting line. Before he starts the song he does the prep thing that alot of people do, take off jacket, stretch etc. Basically when the song is going he does all this crappy dancing shit. There were no actual videogame graphics just them playing on a white background.
Basically if you are one of those people like, "yay ddr is finally getting the tv time it deserves" types you are going to be very dissapointed. But i dont take the game very serious and how other people view the game, i found the video funny, but i can see why there will be alot of people doggy about it. _________________

How is that possible? The kids were playing Pong at home. On an Atari 2600. I doubt they would've had DDR back then. _________________

I just saw it on Street Smarts on the WB. The question was, "What is DDR?" The choices were, A Video Game, B Toothpaste Brand, C a riot. Thank God, the first guy got it right. The woman after that thought it was a riot that had to do with rats, and the other chick thought it was the riot too, inspired by ROSA PARKS!!! ROTFL!! Just thought you'd like to know....people are dumb in Vegas. _________________

Hrmm, I've never said that DDR was actually being played, I said the video was on a ddr machine, doesnt mean DDr had to be played hehe. My friend came up with the idea for that, he went to sportsworld once, told the main singer of TSL and so they did it. The song is soo much better live, but hey almost everything is better live. _________________

Has anyone seen that show, "The Other Half"? The one with the dude from the Partrige family and the other dude who played Slater on Save by the bell and Dick Clark. It's like the male equivalent to "the View". They were playing DDR on that show and they had no clue what they were doing. It was so funny! I think they were using a 3rd mix machine. They were like flopping around on their stomachs on the panels. They were advertising the home version. It was like a year ago I saw this.
Also, for those who keep mentioning they heard a 'DDR' song: All the songs I saw were mentioned are licensed by other artists previous to DDR. DJ Alligator, Bus Stop, even Captain Jack are not strickly DDR artists. I mean, some have you must have heard friggin' "No Limit" (when it was a hit in 95') during some kind of sporting event or pep rally. And for those who can go even farther back to the 80's, for goodness sakes, "The reflex" was one of Duran Duran's biggest hits. brotha yet, Kc and the sunshine band's "Shake your booty", man!! If some one hears one of Naoki's songs on the radio, then you can say you heard a DDR song, m'kay? ^__^ _________________

She was at a local arcade and golf center with her brother and they were handcuffed together for some reason (i missed the beginning). As they were there playing differnet games, they hopped on a machine that was obviously ddr but modified so Disney would not have to pay the fees for using DDR on tv. But it was obviously a ddr machine and Matt was looking purty stupid on it dragging Lizzie all over the place.
P.S. LONG LIVE HILARY DUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I saw that one but also on the disney channel Even stevens Louis was in a contest for some matress thingy then a new arcade just opened they had Usa MIX and twitty was playing it @,@ nerd. |

Hopefully this hasn't already been mentioned, but today I saw a preview for a French film called Wasabi, and DDR is in it. Heck, I think they even sample one of the Orion.78 mixes for some of the music during the preview. It was really only on screen for a couple seconds, in quick half-second bursts.
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0281364 has more info on the movie. |
