I saw ddr on our local paper. It showed the machine at our arcade and some people playing a maniac song. (Paranoia Eternal I think E19.gif )

it was in my high school 2002 yearbook, the year that i graduated. it was listed under in a section of the book called "The Cool Stuff of 2002"

it had a picture of two guys on the DDR home soft pads. later a friend of mines, who worked on the yearbook, told me i was credited bby the yearbook staff for the DDR section cause it was me who told them about DDR. E1.gif

hell, i even brought it to some of my classes to get extra credit!! they all love it!! E4.gif

i saw this sketchers commercial where this guy was playing DDR, it was actually DDR too. The pad he was dancing on said Dance Dance Revolution. Therefore through much analysis and other big words like that, i concluded that it was DDR. happy.gif

...can we officially discredit crap like "I saw DDR in the jukebox when someone played No Limit"? Or something like Maximum Overdrive or The Reflex or Little Bitch or something like that. These weren't created for DDR, and I remember No Limit and The Reflex from my slightly-younger years. These are songs. Not DDR. If you hear Dynamite Rave, then yeah, that's probably a DDR sighting.

I saw it at a math tourney. It was at a boarding school so we were waiting outside the gym for the results and a random boarder walks up to a TV and plugs some mix. in. He did Afronova Maniac and then i played and got a pretty good score on something i forgot.

ppl were like, "WTF? is it a cult thing?"

Then one of them tried and failed a beginner, not even light, and everyone laughed and clapped, max exposure, there was like 200+ ppl.

There is a small two paragraph thingie about DDR (although they confused some of it with Para Para, i.e. "Tai-Chi-like arm movements") in the 2003 Farmer's Almanac.

It wuzn't DDR, but in one episode of the Drew Carey Show (when the internet company buys the building where Drew use to work), the two guys were playin PIU... I almost got a DDR Machine at my school, but the school board would've had to approve it, and we knew they wouldn't so we dropped the petition... E2.gif
