if its the same problem as mine the left key wont work properly if ur foot is on the right panel |

The USB/PSX called BOOM from http://www.lik-sang.com work perfectly and supports forcefeed back and analog. Stepmania recommends it and they ain't kiddin. The Kiki-Joy one is a pink POS. I have both and whoever gets the controller with the BOOM USB wins every fighting game match. _________________

Ok, I need help. I'm buying 2 metal dance pads on ebay, and they're for PSX. I have Dance Dance Revolution and Dance With Intensity. I need to know where I can find a PSX->USB converter in the US (or what online store from the US I can buy from) and which one actually works with the dance pads well enough that I can configure it so I can have the up down left and right set to ASDW. _________________

Read this thread a month ago or so, then my parents decided to buy me converters, so I bought a pair of the Soyo Kiki Joy. They were listed on the main page, so I assumed they would work. Unfortunatly, I was wrong. They don't work with DWI and the custom files I made to my favorite songs.
Now to go buy a different kind.

Well i got the super joy box 3 converters. They work great for controllers but like many others dont have support for up-down and left-right steps. The one thing that i found that may be helpful to some people having problems with dwi is that DWI-2 didnt work with joy to key. The older version 1.65 worked great with it. |

i want one of those too, they look so cool
anyway heres a very very simple solution to solving the problem if you have soft pads and the usb adapter that supports 2 pads
just place the 2 soft mats on top of each other (tape them togetehr if u dont want them to slide apart) and use the up and right button from the first pad and the left and down for the bottom panel like this on joy to key
Top mat panel up=8 on #pad
Top mat panel right=6 on #pad
Bottom mat panel left=4 on #pad
Bottom mat panel down=2 on #pad
then when you go into stepmania/dance with intensity to play the up down and left right will no longer conflict because they come from separate pads, only prob is you wont be able to do double or versus still unless you get another and use 4 pads, my usb convertor only supports 1 pad so i cant test this but i think it should work.
i hope this helps |

hooray!!! The EMS psx to usb converter works with Stepmania.
I have windows 2000 professional
1. plugged EMS converter into computer
2. computer installed default drivers
3. opened stepmania
4. go to game options
5. set ignore joyaxis to ON
6. go to config key/joy
7. set up the pad
8. play ddr on your pc with your ddr pad.
*hugs converter* *kisses converter* *dances into the night* _________________

Hi to all again! I bought 2 dance mats with an "GameWave Adapter". I don't find in Europe the EMS USB 2.0 .... I have a problem: I installed the NTpad XP driver and i select 2 standard psx controllers...but i don't find how remap the button of game controller 2 (the second dance mat).
How can i remap button with NTPad XP for the controller on ID2???
Tnx a lot...
Regards

Has anyone gotten one of these PC Magic Boxes from levelsix or lik-sang?
http://www.levelsix.com/products/pc/PCMagicBox.shtml
I got mine the other day and it works for all my controllers EXCEPT MY DANCE MAT. And original PSX controller. DC, Saturn, and PSX Dual Shock all work perfectly. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it fixable or do I need to return the thing? _________________
