I believe what he means is that the controller ports are parallel to each other??? But the EMS is definatly a USB adapter.

Mine just arived today, and I will prolly post my findings about it as soon as i get it up and working (tonight or tommorow)

ok, i just received the EMS adapter also, i will be posting a more detailed post later, but for now, i've tried it, and it works flawlessly. i first plugged the dance pad into the adapter, then the adapter into the computer. its works perfectly, freeze arrows, jumps, everything. i havent noticed my lag, but then again im not the best player there is.

i run winxp and i didnt need to install any 'drivers' just plugged it in, and set the buttons on dwi

Cool!... You're talking about the EMS adapter, right?... Man, I sure am hearing some great stuff about this adapter!

People - I urge DWI players to buy the EMS adapter, because as far as I know, it seems to be the best buy for your buck at the moment. Let's hope this awesome adapter doesn't go AXES!! (Crosses fingers) erm.gif

Sorry for the slowness yet again, fellow forumers, but I'll have to delay my updating of my website for a little longer (maybe until tomorrow), because even with my undying devotion to finding those adapters right for all those frustrated buyers of NON-WORKING adapters, I have some activities going on. (School, for one, but besides that...)

Okay, as you all know, I'm working on a DDR pad. Well, I finished my first one (still need some other things, but it's good so far!), but now I must begin constructing another pad, because there is an upcoming anime convention called Anime Weekend Atlanta (supposedly the biggest anime con in the South, or South East US blink.gif ) (Sept. 27-29, 2002; at the Georgia Convention Center) and ...
I have to have two pads ready in less than a few weeks. They have to "TEST" the pads before they send those mothers into our con DDR Tournament. Fun fun! E4.gif

So, I'll have to post/update later... I'll try to squeeze some time in tomorrow... You guys are absolutely awesome so far... 180 hits for the adapter page, and over 800 hits for the metal pad page! Cool! nerd.gif

Junta, you are a god!
Thank you so much for recomending the EMS USB2 adapter. It works 100% perfect!!! My only complaint is that i got to find some fool to take these gay super joy box3 adapters out of my sight E15.gif (feel free to add those to the confirmed DO NOT work section on your page)
for everyones info all the rumors are true...

pluged adapter into computer,
pluged BOTH pads (ignition 2s) into adapter,
configed keys in stepmania,
played singles, doubles, couples nonstop for 6 hours laugh.gif

there were NO drivers
there was NO joy2key or anything else like that.

just plug and play literally.

for those interested:

900mhz comp @ 1gig running XP, no lag, jumps work, freeze work. viola!

and the adapter never got hot once. (they must have fixed that)

also I ordered the adapter on friday from levelsix and it shipped <30 minutes latter, then i got it today. highly recommended as well.

Thanks again!!!

I purchased a Kiki Joy USB converter a little while ago; only to quickly realize it doesn't work at all. Not only that, I believe it fried my Igniton 1.0 pad! The pad was working like 2 days earlier on ps2, now it doesn't at all after trying to get it to work with the Kiki-Joy converter. God what crap; I hope its in warranty.

The adapter sold at Fry's/Outpost.com is the Kiki-Joy adapter, which, while it supposedly works with DDR for the PC, does NOT, I repeat, does NOT work with DWI or StepMania.

Cool! You're welcome! E4.gif I love testimonials, and especially praise for me! Lol! You have the same system specs as me! ... But the 1 gig thing... is that RAM? I only have 256 mb... frown.gif And thanks to Grantrix and rise and ǵõrèÑèrõ™ (what the HECK does that name mean??? blink.gif blink.gif Tell me!) for further promoting the EMS adapter E1.gif. No, I don't work at EMS, nor do I advertise their products for money... if I did, I would be using all of your hard-earned money to bet on Chinese Fighter Roosters fights in a marketplace far far away... totally oblivious to this forum and the happiness it is causing. biggrin.gif Kidding kidding...

If you guys MUST know... I was on the way to returning my Vibration Adapter from LevelSix, when I asked about other adapters... I thought PC Magic Box would work fine (oh, btw, someone try it out, and tell me if it works E1.gif), but I saw that it had slots for other gaming systems, and EMS's adapter had two slots for PSX only... so it wasn't a tough decision. E1.gif A sales representative was actually the first guy to tell me about this adapter (and I quote: "it maps arrows as buttons, so... it SHOULD work, I guess. Right?")... so if you want, send [email protected] (his name is Steve Petusky) an email of Thanks For Making Our Lives A Bit Easier! riiight.gif (Actually, that email address is for LevelSix sales-related items only, so.... better not. laugh.gif ) Did you know that, at one point, I was actually about to keep the non-working adapters, and bridge my pad, totally destroying all PSX compatibility for it?!? THAT was close... E7.gif

Now that I have a bit of free time on my hands, I will thoroughly search this forum thread for any missed adapters and updates, and YES, I WILL update my page!! (YAY!) Thanks for all the updates, guys... You WILL be credited for your information. (oh right. If anyone is missing from the list that is not on this forum or is on this forum, please notify me so I can address this issue.)

Does anyone think I can post this page on my college application? E15.gif Hehe, I doubt it'll be significant... I'd need 1000 hits a DAY for it to be "respectable"... (goes off to pray)

Nero guy... - Ummm... you might want to find a company that can ship overseas... or your best bet is to go to Google.com and search for it in your area. You could also get one of us guys to buy one and ship it to you. E1.gif Could be a tad cheaper... the package box is less than 2 lbs. and it's about the size of your entire hand.

Yeah i *WISH* i had a gig of RAM. (or even DDR ram -no pun intended) I have 256 Meg of Micron CAS2 latency SDRAM, and the prossesor (AMD Thunderbird 900Mhz) is overclocked to 1000Mhz. Hope that clarified things biggrin.gif

No, the kiki joy doesn't work because it sucks buttocks. It has nothing to do with xp. It will indescriminatly NOT work on any OS.

Ok, I ordered that BOOM adapter from Lik-Sang a while ago. It got shipped 8/1 and now its the 15th. How long does it take something to get from China to California? They said the my shipping method (Glorbal Priority Mail or something like that) doesnt have online tracking... but they gave me a tracking number. E19.gif

Anyways, did anyone order off of Lik-Sang? How long did it take to get delivered to your house and where do you live?
