|
|
"WORKING," as in the adapter will map the arrows on the dance pad as buttons, therefore allowing to press two arrows at the same time.
state the name of the adapter, where you purchased it from, and what os you are running |

I have a dual joy box, the one with the two controller ports and it's blue, and so far I haven't been able to get it working with dwi. |

Yea, I was at Fry's today and I saw it. It's called Kiky-Joy from Soyo. I wasn't paying attention, and didn't notice the box only claimed 98/ME/2000 support, and I just installed XP last week. I did a quick search and didn't find any XP support out there. I emailed tech support to see if there's any news on that front, but I doubt it.
It wouldn't be a proper trip to Fry's without a return trip shortly thereafter. |

Cool, Can someone post about the parallel port converter, and where to find drivers for XP. Has anyone tried the dual head converter sold for 17.99 at BNS? Cause If that works for XP, then that would be a great buy. Since we only have ONE parralel port. _________________

OldJoe how did you get them to work? My DWI Won't recognize them, but Windows Does recognize them fine.... But the wierd thing is, even on a normal PSX controller, DWI won't recognize the arrow buttons... |

I got the BNS dual head adapter (parallel port, etc.) and it DOES NOT WORK on my Windows 98 machine with Stepmania, DWI, etc. with a regular Playstation controller, or a pad. The buttons are not recognized. Any idea how to get this to work? |

If you got the one with the parralel adapter and not USB, it should just work fine, you just need to install the drivers it came with... |

i dont think that BNS will work, and i wouldnt trust BNS to say it does either. it probably maps the buttons to axes.
so far the ones that work are: the USB/PSX adapter from redoctane.com (20$)
and the parallel/psx adapter from BuyNShop (5$) |

Welll when I go into the settings...there are a few things... One is the Axis, like up down left right... one iz z and y axis and one is buttons and one is the POV hat thingy...
When you press a button... like O or X it goes intot he button seciton
when you pres an arrow, it goes into the normal axis part... not the z or y or anythng... |

OK people! the BNS paralell converters work GREAT. they even have free S&H. http://www.aldostools.com/index2.html is where you can find drivers. NTpad for XP. Direct Pad pro for 98/me. To get the controller to work on DWI, u have to change the pad type to PSX LEFT (RIGHT) ANALOG. Doing this will make the axis' buttons. _________________

I downloaded the ones for XP... then when it asked me what type of controller... I just said normal PSX... but now when I go into the calibrate and settings and stuff,... it doesn't even do anything. Like presing anybuttons don't do anything, even on a normal psx controller.... |

Ok, if you go here http://www.levelsix.com/downloads.shtml And you check that out, they have some good stuff. But here's the thing, I have a USB thing AND Xp... it is a killer combo... nothign works... Joy2Key doesn't work because it's just for parallel port controllers...and I have been trying to install the monster drivers, but I don't know how to select my own drivers through XP.... It just isn't working... |

For parallel port drivers, I use psxpad ( http://www.psxpad.com ). It has a button mode! |
