would this be a good pad to get, I don't want a metal pad or thick pad, just a soft pad I can mod.

my friend gave my a mad catz pad and I really hate it because it feels like when I slide the pad folds in half, and it slides under my bed after about 10 steps into a song, is there some way to mod it ...
