2) Solid State Idea = Bad; Simple Switch Idea = Good

I'm 260 and I'm gonna use 2x 1/4" pieces of Shatter-proof Plexiglass. I don't stomp though, I'm very light footed tongue.gif

I built 2 last year... and they were a bit dodgy for a while... but since I opened em up in January and fixed em they've been going strong since. ...

Hey, how'd you get them to honor the warranty? It states that wear and tear aren't covered, or is all that BS and they'll just make you(us) happy and replace it?

Aluminum does conduct electricity ... just not extraordinarily well.

It acts as a superconductor near 0 degrees Kelvin ... But thats really cold so stick with steel

tisbj, It seems like the contact aren't making good contact. Try making sure everything is even and and solders don't get in the way of the metal touching (Solder is a bad conductor)

Yah, ground the acrylic pads.

I was thinking about doing an extra small piece of sheetmetal attached to the underside of the acrylic pads and have it go to ground ... or just use a semi-DDRHomepad' ...

I started 2 months ago at 5'10" and 285 now im 5'10 and 265.
