Check the current CF thread - I just did one the other day with a TX4000 box from Hong Kong (10 bucks). Fantastic, and has Xbox + PS2 to boot.

I bought a used CF locally (shipping to Can is horrible, so no new) and it worked for a few months before the control box died. It worked pretty good under Xbox as well with the Inex adapter.

Just to confirm, there is no way to use my modded xbox mat on a PS2 (thinking of buying one for more songs).
