Put a piece of cardboard in between the panel and the sensor like there is under the middle pannel on the CF pad. Then you can step there on the corners and they will not activate.

I got mine a few days ago and am using +1 timing on DDR Max2. I haven't tried DDR Max yet. I tried +3 and +2 first but it didn't work too well for me. So try it with +1 first, and see if that works ...
