yeah, you could just use 2 separate profile names, and to make things easier to switch back and forth, use the keyboard for p1 and the pad for p2.

i know of some people who like FruityLoops, though I've never used it i've had a lot of fun with Ableton Live for that kind of stuff.

Though if I want to do something right I use CubaseVST5
