You got some pretty solid advice for a Comm and Religion major E13.gif

The only thing I wanted to say about that is that you don't need to code anything about 3/4, 5/4, or any other time signature. You ...

You can actually download the stepmania source here: http://www.stepmania.com/download.php?file=stepmania_v390_src.zip

That should be quite helpful biggrin.gif

I'm also a CS major. I've completed most of ...

So, would home play be appropriate for players around my level (remember, I can't even pass 10's)?

I stopped playing at home by the time I was starting 9s, but I only had a soft pad. If you have a ...

I didn't mean it as a 100% true blanket statement, but my post was long enough and I didn't feel like adding more. Sorry.

Yes, playing at home will get you better up to a certain point (maybe until ...

So, what would you consider reading arrows easily

I wouldn't condsider it in terms of speed mods or song difficulty. When I say "reading easily", I guess what I mean is that the limiting factor to ...

While I don't know any of the equations or methods used for their calorie counter, I do know that there is no way to convert this to a real amount of calories burned.

The problem is that it varies ...

Honestly, once you get past the basics, like reading arrows easily and gaining some stamina to play harder songs, playing at home will hinder your ability to get better. If you intend to get good scor ...

If you can, play with people who are much better than you. Then just play tons of hard songs they can pass but you can't. That's always gotten me the best workouts and made me better MUCH faster.

Dunno about DDR X.

The entirety of 5th mix is special to me because it reminds me of when I started playing, haha.

ITG is a knock-off, I suppose, but it's not cheap. It's a great game and provid ...

Try loading two USB sticks with only one song on them each. If this works consistently then it would appear to be some sort of physical or virtual memory problem.

I'd say it's unlikely to be a USB ...

Typical new-gen players don't just bracket everything. I'd say bracketing is used mostly to finish a song you don't care about score on without using energy, or to conserve energy during some parts of ...

I can see how you find this a problem with custom songs. I would agree, but for the most part, I've never had trouble distinguishing exactly what chart someone meant. Maybe it's just that everyone I k ...

I still think ITG 14s are harder than DDR 10s by a huge amount. Holy Orders, for example, has not only lots of stream and 24th runs, but any time it isnt stream, its 16th note step-jumps and jackhamme ...

I'm pretty certain you'd burn more calories per minute barring a 15 than no barring any ddr song.

Using times from when I ran track, my VO2max is probably somewhere between 51 and 56. i got 56 for ...

best exercise possible would be world tour doubles

I'm pretty sure world tour doubles is easy compared to any ITG 14 or 15.

I'm interested in DahrkDaiz's approach, I'm gonna try it out sometime. ...
