My ports are all 2.0, but those are backwards compatible with 1.1 devices, which I assume is what the pad is.

You mean the Xbox converter? It works with all my other Xbox controllers, I've tried.

And like I said, it also gives me this error through USB.

Today I tried hooking it up through USB, and Windows informed me that it couldn't recognize the USB device..."Okay," I think, and then try hooking it up through my Xbox adapter instead using the Xbox ...

My RedOctane Ignition 2.0 is at the end of its lifespan (lasted over 2 years though, good run.) I would have liked to get another one, but now everyone is saying that the new Ignitions are poorly made ...

I have a dual platform edition RedOctane Ignition right now, and the PS2/Xbox thing is a real plus for me....

Try turning the controller settings to "OFF". The same thing happened to me with my ignitions with the left arrow acting up, but after turning setting the settings to "OFF", I was Full Comboing(sp?) ...

It's a universal Ignition...so, the converter is built in to the cord.
