woops. ummm... maybe you could clip a little hole on the edge of the sheet metal (thats the technique ur using, right?) And then twist a knot around the end of the wire... then add some solder on it ...

Maybe you can look into buying a new controller for it... RipTide said that the madcatz controller (no analog) cost more, but the solder for it sticks a lot better than any other controller.
