Will IIdx boot with an action replay disk? it says it enables the playing of import DVDs but I am still a little wary, Has anyone done this?

I actually figured out how to get bmdx going but there is no sound.. iif one were to get the mp3's for the sims, would they they just be put in sounds or materials or what?
